Las Vegas Pet Expo 2015

As a media sponsor, we’re off to this year’s Las Vegas Pet Expo. Last year we had such a blast at this free event at Cashman Convention Center we wanted to be part of it. It starts at 10 am and goes all the way until 6pm today and starts 11am on Sunday and lasts ’til 4pm.

Shorty Rossi from Animal Planet’s “Pit Boss” will be hanging out with Hercules and telling his story about how and why he does what he does from the main stage. Get here pretty early because there’s always a huge line to get a picture with Shorty. Plus, he won’t be here on Sunday. I’ll make sure to get an interview with him for all of my fans who are his fans.

Las Vegas Pet Expo 2015If you watch Animal Planet… and I know you do, Brett Raymer and Wayde King are no strangers. The popular “Tanked” stars will be in attendance this year to tell all their fish stories. Most of “Tanked” is filmed right here in Las Vegas, NV because Wayde and Brett’s business, Acrylic  Tank Manufacturing is right off the 215. I’ve met Brett at Super Zoo and he was awesome, so I am very happy to finally meet Wayde and ” The General”.

Rachel Phelps one of my favorite dog bloggers from will be on hand with, of course, Preston. Although Preston isn’t a Pomeranian we still love to read about his antics and adventures. Not many people know this but Preston is a West Highland White Terrier and he’s also an actor and model. Just look at that cute face.

Las Vegas Pet Expo 2015Someone who I don’t know but can’t wait to meet is Ellie Laks. She was just featured on The Ellen Degeneres Show for her book, My Gentle Barn: Creating a Sanctuary Where Animals Heal and Children Learn to Hope. She is also the founder of “The Gentle Barn”. This really cool animal sanctuary is based out of Santa Clarita, CA, just down the road from where my Husband and I, Niko and Yoki get our oranges, lemons and eggs from. I’m hoping on our next California trip we can go visit The Gentle Barn which is open to at-risk youth, special needs children, and schools so that they can visit and help care for the animals. When these children realize that the animals have gone through similar traumatizing situations and found the courage to push past them, they go through their own emotional healing. She is obviously making a big impact on young lives.

The Las Vegas Pet Expo is free admission but you do have to pay for parking which is $4.00 and you can bring your pet as long as they have up to date Vet records. Here are directions to The Cashman Convention Center.
