Referred to as the coolest Pomeranian Rescue in Oklahoma. Grooovy Paws Rescue rescues mostly Pomeranian but will never turn away a small breed. They have a very specifically love for Pomeranians though and have never turned away a Pomeranian in need… especially the hard cases. “Those are the one’s who need the most love”, states President/Founder Angie Paris.
They do home visits for “all their dogs” and back ground checks before any Pomeranian or small breed leaves to their forever home. We spay/neuter all dogs and give all shots, dentals, and micro-chip every dog. The MC’s stay in the rescue name once they are adopted and owner name as co-owner so we can go get them if any ever hit a shelter or get loose from their new owner. Once a GPR dog, we watch over them for life. If it does not work out they can always come back to Groovy Paws Rescue.
Oklahoma City Pomeranian Rescue
Groovy Paws Rescue, Inc. is a foster based rescue with foster homes throughout the Norman and Oklahoma City metro region. We rescue small breed and senior dogs from high kill shelters, ‘free to good home’ ads and others that come to us through owner surrenders. Our Mission is to save unwanted, homeless and abandoned small breed dogs and place them with safe, caring adoptive families. Additionally, to provide public education on the importance of spaying and neutering all pets to help control overpopulation.
They are committed to providing all Pomeranians and small breeds with the best possible care. Every Pomeranian or small breed dog adopted from Groovy Paws Rescue are always vetted.
•DHLPP, rabies and bordetella vaccines
•Heartworm test (age appropriate)
•Heartworm treatment as needed
•Monthly flea & heartworm preventative
GPR is incorporated as a nonprofit in the State of Oklahoma. We are not funded by state or municipal funding and only fund with monetary donations. Any and all of the costs of rescue beyond the adoption fee are covered by the rescuers and private donations. In the majority of cases, the adoption fee does not cover the full costs of rescue & care.
Every event, we have over 100 people come out and meet us and our rescue mascot (WILLY) in pictured above. He was our very first hard case rescue Pomeranian.
