Pommy Mommy is a huge advocate for rescuing Pomeranians. I have 5 currently that have been rescued and 2 more more that have gone to the Rainbow Bridge. It is very important that everyone that wants to be a Pommy Parent choose rescue before purchasing. I am not at all opposed to responsible breeding but I know first hand how many beautiful babies are out there needing a forever home.
I ask that you submit your Pomeranian Rescue below to be featured on Pommy Mommy so everyone of Pommy Mommy’s fans could know about your rescues. If you have any questions please contact me here

I currently own a female Pomeranian named Nani Bear. I gave her that name because each time she got a haircut I always left the hair around her head..she looked just like a teddy bear. I wanted a unique name so I conjured Nani from Mami. Anyway, I traveled to the furthest point in southern Texas, McAllen, to visti my Mom on day. I happened to stop at a friend’s place to say hello. As I sat I noticed this ball of hair running towards me, it was Nani. She kept licking my hand and standing on her two hind paws wanted to be caressed. She kept flirting all night long and did not want to leave my side. There was a very large dog who would constantly beat on Nani and Nani’s husband, Rusty. I still remember when I saw them they slept next to a trash can together. Nani was a puppy mill Mom who had been bred 8 times and in horrifying conditions. She was begging, pleading for her life. She wanted me to rescue her. I told my friend that I was going to take her by any means necessary. Her husband was the one who would be more opposed but he reluctantly agreed. As I left she was dropping fleas and tickets all over. Well, i looked back and saw Rusty peeking thru a gap in the gate. I said, “screw it your coming too. He probably needed to be rescued the most since he had a punctured eye courtesy of that large dog. That night they both went to the vet. We shaved Nani as she had to fly out with me the next morning. We literally took hundreds of bugs off of her to get her approved by the airline. Rusty immediately had surgery and unfortunately, had to have his eye removed. He went to my Mom’s and they were inseparable friends until his death 3 years later. He guarded my Mom day and night. Nobody could get close to her without his approval. Not even my Dad. I meant to find a forever home for Nani, but little did I know she had already made up her mind. She has been with me for 5 years and it is a challenge, but she is the most beautiful friend in the world. She is always so sweet, and licks my hands every night. Just typing this bring tears to my eyes. We just moved and she had been a real trouper all this time. I thank her for enriching my life so much. I gave her all the love and then some. She has a closet full of outfits, scarfs, and even high top shoes (which she hates). She has traveled to about 10 states, and has flown to over half a dozen cities with me. I told her she was going to live like the queen she was, and she has!
