I’ve been taking the Pomeranian’s to a professional groomer ever since I rescued them. I take Maggie and Yoki to the groomer on a monthly basis. Little Miss Sophia is only three pounds so she doesn’t need to go that often. Here are a few pictures of their trip to see their regular groomer Linda at the “Self Wash and Grooming Boutique”
I scheduled a grooming appointment for 10:30am for Maggie and Yoki. When I take the Pomeranians to the groomer I schedule a “Bath and Tidy” This service consists of: Two baths, anal glands, nail trim, sanitary trim, clean ears, trim pads, trim around eyes and cologne. No major cutting of the fur is included, I enjoy keeping the girls fluffy year round.
I packed the girls up in the car and off we went! Yoki decided that it would be fun to “sing songs” AKA bark the entire drive there! She let out little baby barks about every thirty seconds. I told her that we were on our way to the “Barking Dogs” (The name of the dog boutique they are groomed at) So she decided to take the name of the place quite literally! I later realized that her little barks may have had something to do with my horrible singing to my favorite country music in the car!
We arrived at the groomer right on time, I asked their groomer Linda about what color bows she had, and she let me come in the back where she grooms the dogs and pick some bows out myself! -She is the best groomer!- I helped her put Maggie and Yoki in a kennel so she could get everything ready for the bath and keep them in a safe place. I picked out some very cute blue bows made of tulle (Tulle is what ballet tutus are made from) and ribbon that had baby paw prints on it! So darling, I just had to have the girls in matching bows.
After I picked out the bows I told the girls “I’ll be back!” A phrase I always say when I leave the house, so they know that I’m coming back and not leaving them forever like their previous owners did. I never make a “big deal” out of leaving. I let them know I’ll be back and walk away.
Two hours later I got a call that the Pomeranian’s were ready to be picked up.
I always get excited to pick them up! They wag their tails and get very happy when they see me. Their fur is silky soft, and smells so fresh and clean! After Linda grooms them, they prance around with their nose in the air, and you can tell they are feeling pretty!
The matching bows looked so cute in their hair, however the second we got in the car Maggie was already trying to take them out!
