When I’m not playing with the Pomeranian’s or in the kitchen cooking up a storm, you can find me in my craft room crafting away! I love making greeting cards and custom art for the home. I have many pictures of the girls around the home, and I wanted to incorporate some of their paw prints into the art work around the house.
For this craft project I decided it would be a good idea to go outside in the back yard.
Pomeranian’s + Paint = Mess!
If you want to try this at home with your Pomeranian you will need:
- 1 8×10 piece of poster board per dog
- Poster board paint in your choice of color
- Paper Plate
At first the Pomeranian’s didn’t know what was going on, so I let them smell everything! I took paint and put it on a paper plate and dipped the Pom’s paws into it. I had them walk on a thick piece of poster board paper. They walked all over the poster board creating little colorful paw prints! After the poster board dried, I put it in a frame and hung it on the wall. This project was a lot of fun and I’m glad I’ll have a piece of artwork that I’ll always be able to treasure!
***TIP***
If you don’t have the time or the space to play with paint, you can also use ink. Ink works very well for artwork and will give you a nice clean print. Make sure the ink pad is new or has been freshly refilled. You want to make sure and get a good print the first or second time so you don’t end up with a Pomeranian who escapes and is running all over the house with ink on his or her paw!
