Acclaimed TV personality, producer, author, music manager, businesswoman, and cancer survivor Sharon Osbourne doesn’t just love dogs – she has a special place in her heart for sweet little Pomeranians. Known for her love of animals, especially rescue dogs, Osbourne has opened her home to several rescue Poms, making her the ultimate Pommy Mommy.
A Pommy Mommy to Many
Osbourne, who gained fame as a judge on NBC’s hit reality competition show America’s Got Talent, is a proud Pommy Mommy to several rescue Pomeranians. Her fur family includes Bella, Mr. Chips, Chicken, Bunny, Puffy, Rocky, and Pippy. This Pom-loving celebrity has often been spotted with her Poms in tow, whether it’s while shopping at high-end boutiques or taking them for a leisurely walk in the park. Osbourne’s Poms have even been seen riding in limousines, enjoying the luxurious life of a celebrity pup.
A Closer Look at Sharon’s Poms
Sharon Osbourne’s website dedicates an entire section to her pets, and it’s no surprise that at least six of her 13 dogs are Pomeranians. One of her most beloved Poms is Mr. Chips, a teacup Pomeranian named by her famous husband, heavy metal singer Ozzy Osbourne. Sharon describes Mr. Chips as “the most gorgeous creature from the land of Poms” and notes that he’s the “snuggliest” of them all. Mr. Chips spends most of his time being carried around like a baby by everyone in the Osbourne household.
Another of Osbourne’s Poms, Pippy, has had quite an adventurous life. Bought as a gift for Sharon’s daughter Aimee, Pippy was stolen by a housekeeper and taken to live 200 miles outside Los Angeles. After months of searching, a segment on Live! with Regis and Kelly helped bring attention to Pippy’s disappearance, and thankfully, Pippy was returned to the Osbourne family. However, shortly after coming home, Pippy had another terrifying encounter –with a coyote. Ozzy Osbourne bravely rescued Pippy from the coyote’s grasp, saving the little Pom’s life.
Sharon’s Other Furry Friends
In addition to her Poms, Sharon Osbourne has welcomed many other dogs into her home, all rescues. Her other pups include Maggie and New Baby (also known as Cr*zy Baby), the Japanese Chins, Lola the English Bulldog, Martin the Chihuahua, Mini the Maltese, and three dogs named Storm, Two-Face, and Charlie. While Osbourne doesn’t specify the breed of Storm, Two-Face, and Charlie, Two-Face looks like he could be part Pomeranian.
Sharon Osbourne’s love for her dogs is evident, and she has even employed a full-time nanny to care for her beloved pets. She said, “They’re such company”. I rescue them all and have a full-time nanny to care for them. Bella, a five-pound Pomeranian, is my favorite.”
The Osbourne Family’s Love for Pomeranians
Osbourne’s passion for Pomeranians runs in the family. Her daughter, Kelly Osbourne, also has two rescue Pomeranians, a little black one named Sid and a caramel-colored one named Story. Kelly previously had a Pom named Noodles, who sadly passed away in 2011.
Ozzy Osbourne, known for his tough exterior, also had a soft spot for Pomeranians. A coyote tragically attacked and killed his beloved Pom, Little Bit, at their Los Angeles home.
Sharon Osbourne’s Remarkable Career
While Osbourne’s love for Pomeranians is heartwarming, her career achievements are equally impressive. Sharon Osbourne first gained widespread recognition by creating, producing, and starring in the hit reality TV show The Osbournes, which followed her family’s daily life. The show was a massive success, winning a Primetime Emmy for Best Reality Show in 2003.
Osbourne later became a judge on talent shows such as The X Factor in the U.K. and America’s Got Talent in the U.S. Her charismatic personality and sharp wit made her a fan favorite.
In addition to her television career, Osbourne has significantly impacted the music industry. She revitalized her husband Ozzy’s career and founded the Ozzfest summer tour, now one of the biggest hard rock festivals in the U.S. She has also managed the careers of numerous artists, including Smashing Pumpkins, Motorhead, and Black Sabbath.
A Resilient Survivor and Advocate
Sharon Osbourne’s strength and resilience go beyond her career. A cancer survivor, she established the Sharon Osbourne Colon Cancer Foundation with Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. The foundation provides free screenings, support, and healthcare to those battling colon cancer who cannot afford treatment.
Osbourne’s philanthropy extends beyond human causes. Her dedication to rescuing animals and providing them with loving homes makes her a true Pommy Mommy hero. Her decision to rescue Pomeranians and other needy dogs is one of the many ways she spreads kindness and compassion.
A True Pommy Mommy at Heart
Sharon Osbourne’s love for Pomeranians goes beyond the glitz and glamour of Hollywood. Despite her busy schedule and high-profile career, she has made room in her heart and home for her rescue Poms. Whether she’s cuddling with Mr. Chips, rescuing Pippy, or doting on Bella, Osbourne exemplifies what it means to be a Pommy Mommy.
As a devoted animal lover and advocate, Sharon Osbourne shows us that no matter how famous or successful you are, there’s always room for a little furry friend in your life.
