Most Pommy Mommies love to dress up their Pomeranians. I myself… am no exception. I love dressing the girls up for anything and everything! Holidays, birthdays, an afternoon on the town, any occasion to put a dress or bows in the hair… I’m all about it.
I’m not the only one to get excited, Maggie loves playing dress up! Every time I go to their closet…(yes, my Pomeranian’s have a closet, child size of course) Maggie gets very excited, mainly because she knows we are about to get in the car and go “bye bye” I will get a dress out of the closet and she barks and twirls around with excitement. She sits on the floor and wags her tail with her tongue hanging out from happiness. Her
eyes are big as a watermelon as she watches my every move when I’m taking her dress off the hanger. I sit on the floor and and un-do the velcro, most dog outfits come with velcro so your Pomeranian can easily get in and out. However some come with snaps, buttons or zippers. As soon as I’m on the floor shes jumping up in my lap sticking her head through the top of the dress. (Yes, I told you Pomeranian’s are smart! Mine knows how to dress herself… well sorta dress herself!)
When I tell my friends that she enjoys getting dressed up they never believe me until they are over the house and they get to witness it for themselves. People are always commenting on the Pomeranian’s outfits, I buy dog outfits online and in boutiques. Most every place that sells dog clothes has a size chart that you can follow to easily make sure you purchase the correct size when you are buying online. I’ve been buying dog clothes so much, I can pretty much just “eyeball it” and know if it’s going to fit my girls or not. (After you have a child size closet full of clothes for your Pomeranian, you’ll understand what I’m talking about!)
As soon as Maggie is dressed she prances around with her nose up in the air. She has a “I’m pretty and I know it” sorta look about her. Have you ever seen a pony that trots?! That’s just what she looks like when she has a new dress on!
Enjoy the “dress up” photos! I can’t even choose a favorite, they all crack me up!
